Spaddles™ are hand-made from durable naive Georgia woods: cherry, walnut, maple, oak, and heart pine. Each is unique, featurning its own grain and color. With a modicum of care these beautiful tools will stand up to the rigors of daily use without marring nonstick cookware while tough enough to scrape stainless or cast iron. Over time the wood becomes seasoned from cooking oils and you will find the working edge just gets better with use.
